After a very successful meeting, Castle Games has teamed up with the local charity fundraising efforts of 'Gaming for a Cure'. This group, founded in 2006, offers new ways to raise funds for those suffering from cancer through gameplay of all sorts. Together, we hope to have a fun and exciting game room at Cherry Capital Con this year, bringing lots of new and old games together for a good cause. If you are interested in volunteering please visit our events page and submit your information.
TableTop Day was a success! We estimated around 50 people attended throughout the 7 hours of game play. Several groups tried games for the first time and even played more than one. We received lots of great feedback from attendees including excitement for our opening. If all goes well we may try to do a similar event later this month. Special thanks to Right Brain for offering the space and providing enthusiastic support and delicious brews. For pictures, visit our timeline on Facebook.
The success of the event is really exciting considering we are close to opening day. At this time, we are mostly ready to get going, just have to find a suitable location in downtown, old town , or as close as possible. Thank to all those who came out to show support for gaming! |
